Intercom 153 points out that in the world there are 260 million out-of-school children and more than 600 million do not have the minimum competencies in reading or mathematics. For this reason, in 2019 Pope Francis called on all people to rebuild education and with it, the future of the world.
The Global Compact on Education revives the commitment for and with the younger generations, renewing the passion for a more open and inclusive education,
capable of attentive listening, constructive dialogue and mutual understanding.
